Have the right wingers gotten so paranoid that they even think green card holders might be illegal aliens?
Or are they inadvertently telling us they really just don't like any immigrants at all?
No. I think they don't know the difference between a legal green card holder and an illegal alien. I might point out that Melania Trump was once a green card holder. In fact weren't all of Trump's wives immigrants?
The article makes no mention of illegals. You do realize that someone can be legally in the United States and not be a citizen correct??

^^ These people actually read the article and understand the facts. The thread title is false information.
Yet, sadly, look how most of the regular Trump voters continue to talk amongst themselves, completely ignoring the factual information that the people hired are green-card holders.
The article even went out of the way to clarify that the gov't will not be hiring anyone who is in this country illegally.
But the far-right posters literally ignore the facts and just keep spinning. It's like they live in a parallel universe or something LOL.
Did ya'll miss the part about the non citizen loop hole and non citizen encompassing anyone who is not a citizen. That would include illegal aliens.
Nothing specifically states they will not hire illegal aliens. Often its what is not said.
Here is an updated story with a subsequent response from the Census Bureau.
The initial story left the door wide open as to who was deemed "non citizen" and whether or not illegals counted.
https://www.usnews.com/news/national...-ahead-of-2020
Asked whether the bureau planned to employ people living in the country illegally, a spokesman said, "There is nowhere in our legal flexibilities that refers to people we could possibly hire as 'illegal.'" When pressed as to whether it's an option under the current law, the spokesman repeatedly demurred, saying that the term "noncitizen" encompasses "anyone who is not a U.S. citizen."
Census officials subsequently denied that they have any plans to hire anyone who is in the country illegally.

Any logical person would understand what a non-citizen is and that the government can't (or knowingly shouldn't) hire illegal alien.
There is actually a loophole in the hiring process that would allow that..hiring temporary "translators".
How does being a translator override the necessary hiring requirements, specifically the question "are you eligible for employment in the United States?" Please be specific and cite the "loophole" law.
Ah.... but you won’t know if they are illegals. Remember, that question isn’t allowed.
If I am an employer I can ask for a green card.
