Trump just negotiates with himself. Xi needs to do nothing but sit around and see where the idiot goes next.

Number two trading partner with a four to one advantage on us...hmmm.

If the Chi-comms don't care, I really don't give a ****!

I know the trade commission is taking comments and requests for exclusion from Tariff's from many companies.
So....now we will have another big government agency "taking comments" and dealing with tens of thousands of business and each part of their supply chain and product lines?

How can anyone think such a thing is possible? Do you really think the Trump admin (which isn't even staffed correctly) is going to be fair to each of those who make requests?

That's fantastic.

Trade deals have been made for centuries...but never in this fashion. One always keeps cards close to the vest and works slowly. It would have been very easy for Trump to appoint a team of skilled and experienced diplomats and business folks to come up with real plans...and then to implement them. China would go along because they wouldn't be insulted...like they are now....and, in the end, they have similar interests as we do (working along with us and our businesses, etc.)..

But this is just a clown show that is, like everything Trump does, costing vastly more than it saves...and doing little. Just the movement of ONE stock (Apple) in a couple hours is 500+ Billion dollars - just due to Chaos. The stock market is probably a couple trillion short of where it should be.

But Trump will "save us money" and "make us great again"....by giving our Farmers tens of billions?

Can't happen. People who don't know things shouldn't attempt to do those things.

"If you're incompetent, you can't know you're incompetent ... The skills you need to produce a right answer are exactly the skills you need to recognize what a right answer is."

Put another way, people who score in the bottom 20% of most testing (of various types) think they are in the top 30% or so.

If you think those bottom scorers are correct in this thinking...then you are correct about these tariffs.

More tariffs for the sake of tariffs would be bad. I actually like what Trump is doing: using the threat of new tariffs to get China to get more serious in negotiations. China doesn't play by the rules and it's bad for American workers. This is the only area I 100% support Trump's approach.

Who does play by the rules? Every country practices protectionism to some extent.
