I will pay for me and not for thee. Period. You like Norway so much move there.

I will drive what I please from my smoke belching diesels to my plane.

Well, we know how good our Socialists are at turning cities into nice clean Norwegian cities. We have Detroit, Baltimore, St. Louis. Even the once great clean streets in Seattle have been turning high crime catch and release nightmares. Absolutely no chance of Dems making us look anything like Norway, maybe Rio Dejanaro

Ok please explain how the democrats are not guilty of what you accuse the GOP of?

I have been to Norway and absolutely love it. Do you know what you don't see a lot of there? You see very few minorities. That helps with statistics. They dont have a 11+ million illegals. Hell we have more illegals than there are Norwegians.

Norway has a massive supply of resources for the size of their population, but unlike many of their neighbors they have refused to open their homes to the flood of refugees as Sweden has.

What is broken and you have illustrated it well is people who refuse to hold their own party accountable and yet can lay blame at the other. The USA is not a product of the GOP as you would blame. It is a product of the 2 headed beast.

Norway's politicians put Norway and her people first. That means no screw the people over NAFTAs, that means no most favored nation status to China, that means no open borders to immigrants and no free pass for illegals.

My best friend where I live is Norwegian. He blasts our health care system as a joke. He blasts our education system as well. He is proud of Norway's position on Refugees and immigration and that Norway refused to join the EU.

OP, if Norway is so great and progressive, why don't you move over there? Sorry, these Scandinavian countries have very tight immigration policies that do not favor Western countries, so if you're American, you're not going anywhere... Unless you marry a Norwegian.

The last time I checked, the United States was the United States. Are we perfect? No, but we do have the best system in the World. Trust me, there are far.... FAR more people wanting to come to the US than Norway. I'm sure the Norwegians are happy now with this "feel good" move, but once the taxes kicks in AND hits them square in their collective wallets, then lets see how happy they really are.

Seriously, when has Norway ever led the World, in modern times - Post 1900s, in anything?

What is the connection between electric cars and white people? Are you saying that non-white people won't buy electric cars?

I see a lot of Republicans compare sizes...
Size of country. Size of population.

Size has nothing to do with it...

One uses per capita

Norway is larger then 47 of the 50 US states.
Only Alaska, Texas and California is larger.

But it has 3x as much coastlines then compared to the US. 60.000 vs 20.000 miles
And as large merchant fleet as the US, despite the US having 55x more people.

We produce 17x more Renewable energy per capita then the US.

Norwegian.. and Danish laws, where brought to England after they invaded in 1066... and most British law is based on those laws.. Which the US also adopted.. So... thank those crafty Norsemen giving you a roadmap to write your constitution.

And we have more Olympic Winter medals then the US..
Ranked for Capita.. NO other country is better in sports then Norway.

Norway is increasingly seen as the envy of the world. It is FIRST place in the world happiness index. It is #5 in median income (U.S. is behind at #8). It has a debt-to-GDP ratio of -90.5 percent. In other words it has a national surplus, not a national debt.

Norway has obviously made a lot of good decisions. Now they are making another good decision by banning the sale of fossil-fuel-powered vehicles by 2025. Not the 2030 plan of Gov. Jay Inslee, which was seen as way too ambitious and radical but 2025.

Can someone please explain to me why we are not following Norway's lead????
Lol

They don't have to subsidize a large portion of their population that chooses to be irresponsible, and do they have to also subsidize around 10 million illegals?

Norway can do this because they are mostly unified over the issue, they are not bitterly divided over politics and ideology by special interests like here in the U.S.

If we look at some U.S states and U.S cities, they are pretty unified over the issue and want to address it.

A lot of young Republicans are taking climate change seriously and are pushing their party to start acknowledging and addressing the issue. They will have to start listening as older Republican demographics die off.
