Breaking out of Pittsburgh...

Quote:
PITTSBURGH (AP) – Authorities say a man fatally stabbed a woman who was talking to a police officer at a downtown Pittsburgh bus stop and then slashed another woman before he was taken into custody.

Pittsburgh Police Chief Scott Schubert says the officer was checking on the first woman’s well-being Thursday on a crowded sidewalk full of office workers and others headed to lunch.

A man came up from behind him and stabbed her. He then stabbed the other woman.

Schubert says the officer immediately took the man into custody and applied first aid to the first woman. She later died. The second victim suffered minor injuries.

Well Team Blue, looks like we gotta ban people (especially cops) who don't have eyes in the back of their heads.

Scientists, get to work on these new 4-eyed humans...stat!

Suspect is black. Knife was used, not a gun.

Team Blue will be MIA in this thread.

welp. that was a short-lived thread.

At this time, there is no evidence to suggest that this attack was racially or religiously motivated,” police spokesman Chris Togneri said. “The woman at the bus stop was not wearing religious garb, but the second victim may have been wearing a hijab."

well that was unexpected.

A gun a knife, standing there talking to a police officer... it just goes to show that you cannot stop someone that is bent on assault/murder.

This is a perfect crime to apply capital punishment to. The woman was talking to a cop, the guy came up and stabbed her. Do we really need to know his motives? Do we really need to have a long drawn out trial at the tax payers expense? Does anyone doubt that he will plead not guilty? Lets stand the guy up and let someone stab him in the exact spot with the same knife and see how he does.

Person A attacking Person B while Person B is talking to a cop is stupid. You are setting yourself up to get arrested right there and then and the argument of "it's not what it looks like" pretty much is thrown out.
