I'm guessing that the sellers did not have the home professionally staged prior to showing.

I doubt anyone here would give a police officer whose home was found to be filled with Black Power, Black Panther paraphernalia and had killed a white man just a few years ago the benefit of the doubt that they don't bring their bias into their workplace. Now the death of the black man in this case could be 100% justified but I don't see how having racist paraphernalia doesn't disqualify you from a position where race relations is an integral part of the job.

Thank you! But lets be clear.....the black power movement and the original black panthers was all about SELF DEFENSE from a racist system. They were not running around hanging, burning and castrating whites like the Klans long history against blacks. There is really no black organization that is the equivalent of the Klan.....and if there is....their primary victims are blacks. The only other group was Nat Turner.

I used Black Power and Black Panther as the go to, their are much smaller hate groups that are much more virulently anti-white and racist in America like those that split of from BLM or Black Panther movement for being "too mild" but those groups aren't well known so their was no point referencing them.

As someone who detests the KKK, and white supremicists on any level--the idea that someone can judge you based on things in your home that aren't illegal is a bit of a slippery slope.

The thing is.....we are in a climate of left vs right politics and there is a piece of land being fought over called "racism". The right feels if they give up that land that there ideology will be exposed and at risk. Hence, conservatives will go through hell and high water to not concede that something is racism.

Think about it. What if racism was truly what it is said to be and truly the factor accounting for the racial gaps that exists between blacks and whites in the country. What would that then mean for all those who have been downplaying it? Would that not make them COMPLICIT in the inequality?

Cops are held to higher standards than you or I. Rightfully so

The KKK is a terrorist organization. Those with any ties to terrorism, to include personal admiration, should not hold certain positions in society.
