The answer to violence in America is more gun control, or so the liberal narrative goes. Many voices on the left have renewed their calls for stricter legislation following several high-profile shootings, but an African-American guns rights activist is pushing back using some very eye-opening statistics.

No matter how you slice it, that’s something that conservatives have been saying for years. Criminals don’t follow the law, and certainly aren’t deterred by signs posted on doors. There may not be easy answers to reducing crime, but yet another round of toothless gun control laws sure doesn’t seem to be the path forward.

I love it when the narrative gets broken.

Gun control has proven to be ineffective. When libs note gun control "successes", generally they are in foreign countries, not the US.

Most of the violence in America occurs in gun free zones. The libs cannot seem to get it through their skulls that despite their heartfelt wishes, criminals do not obey gun laws.

Since criminals won't obey gun laws, the liberal answer is to punish those who obey the law. How about life in prison for a crime committed with a firearm? Then of course, the libs would complain about al the minorities in prison, as most gun crimes are attributed to minorities.

Political correctness is a funny thing- it can really put a stick in the spokes of getting anything practical accomplished.

That's because it's not about Guns. It's about Control. Many proponents know this and push GC with the full knowledge that it won't work so they'll come back to the table with "well we need MORE control" and more and more and more.

BGM sounds like it is the nemesis of BGM.

When was the last time a murderer got the death penalty? If that’s not a deterrent, I don’t think a 12”x18” sign will be.

Bottom line is that the US has gotten statistically much safer as its become easier to own and carry a firearm on your person over the last few decades. We can get into the whole causation/correlation argument, but the narrative pushed by the left that we'd be turning into the wild west if it became easier to own guns has been proved to be a lie.
