Why should California and NY send more to the govt than Louisiana or Mississippi?

FL and Texas are relatively balanced in that regard

He also just bought a home in Cascais, Portugal. He gets around. None of the Palm Beach rock stars are year-round residents.

Because taxes are percentage-based. Because 20% of 200k is more than 20% of 100k. High COL areas will inherently pay higher taxes than lower COL areas.

Whaa? Clearly one of pays taxes and one of us does not. You did not support or explain your statement about Trump being politically vindictive?

Focus boy... focus.

If all of the Florida migrants are so wealthy, why are the early birds at restaurants so packed?

Also, if someone sells a home in the northeast, they can usually buy two in Florida. They are not 'rich' but they have more money than a born and bred Floridian. Their salaries were higher and their home values are also higher.

But the influx is causing real estate values to rise, overcrowded roads, over-development, crowded everything, so as a Floridian, I'm looking at retiring in Europe where COL is lower and quality of life is better. And I'm not alone--a lot of Floridians are retiring abroad or south of the border. Cause and effect.

Do you have some data about Floridians retiring "abroad"? COL in Europe is lower? I'm gonna be from Missouri on these statements.

Local folks who get fed up with So Fl typically move north of I-4 if they're native Floridians, and if not, they become 1/2 backs and move to NC, GA or TN.

I probably pay more in taxes than you collect in income, boy. Don't get personal. It's very easy to see which states were most affected by the salt reform. I'm not going to add 2+2 for you

Floridians, congratulations for getting unceremoniously dumped into the political theater and other forms of useless and stupid entertainment forum.

I told you so.
