Of course, Gov. Cuomo just had to get in on the action. He wants to turn every state into NY,
and even those on the left are scared.

I expect even the NRA and most people would support this, but first we have to reform the entire mental health industry. Remember that until about 1975, homosexuality was listed in the official APA diagnostic manual (DSM) as a mental disorder.

What is it with wanting to put people on lists?

It's my understanding that it's supposed to be illegal for mentally ill people to buy guns, but if they are it does not show up in background checks. So if they go to buy a gun, all they have to do is lie on the form, and they get their gun. For example, the theater shooter in Aurora, CO was under psych. care, but got a gun anyway.

The list would solve that problem. But again, I would not support it without first seeing massive reform of mental health care.

It solves nothing. People still buy guns out of someone's car trunk. That will never change.

And when someone who owns guns is feeling a little off knows they will end up on a list and lose their guns if they seek help?
