Large areas? It conquered a corner of SouthEastern Europe. Also I should add many Turks, especially in Istanbul, consider themselves to be "Europeans." I know this is gray, but what's clear is that the Anatolians are probably one the closest nonEuropean people to Europeans. Between them and Greeks, there is not much genetic distance.
If the Greeks are so genetically close to the Turks. And the Turks are a mix of native Anatolian and people from Central Asia. Why are the Greeks consider to be "white"? If their nearest genetic kin are from the Near East, shouldn't they be considered Middle Eastern?

Turks are not a mixture of people from Central Asia. Their language maybe from Central Asia, but their genes are not. Just like Guatemalans speak a romance language but their genes are from MesoAmerica.
Anyways, you seem to be having a problem with reading comprehension. Not just here but all over this thread. Nowhere did I say that Greek's nearest genetic kin are Turks. Greeks are closer to Albanians then Bulgarians than they're to Turkish people. However, it might be plausible to say Turks (especially those from Istanbul) are closer to Greeks than they're to Iraqis, or maybe even Syrians.

I'm glad you have come to point of realizing how complex and hazing human genetics actually are. Its not cut and dry the way some posters on here wish it would be. Hopefully we can put this White Race nonsense to bed finally.
Finally here is a genetic map of modern Greeks. Initialed GR in the graph, AL is Albanians, TR is Turks and IT is Italians.

Western 1/3 of "Turkey" is genetically Greek. The natives mostly stayed behind and Turkified their names and religion. Not unlike all the full blood Indians in the Americans with Spanish names and Catholic religion.

It is believed a significant portion of IQ is based on the health of the mother and early childhood nutrition and mental stimulation. In the poorest nations most pregnant women are malnourished and then the baby is itself malnourished. The mother has to constantly search for food, clean water, and wood to cook rather than help stimulate the child. War and political instability makes those things more difficult as well. I don't dispute that in the poorest nations IQ probably is lower but it is due to environmental factors, not being 'genetically inferior'. If IQ truly determines outcomes then logically in the time of Christ W Europe probably had low IQs compared to North Africa, probably due to same environmental reasons.
