There is no “drop” for the physical force necessary in a prison cell—especially for someone as tall as Epstein
And the paper sheets certainly wouldn’t hold up for the physical force engendered...

This was a slow strangulation and you have to really want that to happen because it is so easy to stop before the oxygen level drops past the recovery point...

Someone watched “The Wire” and didn’t see McNulty solved that faux suicide.

I have to laugh at everyone expressing such anger this was allowed to happen without any anger expressed that his pedophilia was allowed to happen. I personally would like to thank the jail for allowing this to happen.

He wasn't killed because he's a pedophile. He was killed because he knows other powerful people who had sex with those young girls.

This isn't conclusive by any means but things are definitely getting curiouser and curiouser.

I understand that - but in the vain of possibly obtaining more info to get more of the preps, he would have been important in that regard.

Did you read it?
Breaking bones in your neck usually comes from a hanging done with a large drop. A hanging done in your cell, with a drop no higher than your bed, is not likely to produce broken bones.

Though this revelation is by no means the damning part of this story. It's the fact the most secure jail in America housing the most notorious prisoner managed to make so many inexcusable gaffs in a row for this happen.

not really.

'One such study conducted from 2010 to 2013 that looked at suicidal hangings in India found that hyoid damage was present in just 16 of 264 cases, or 6 percent.'

agreed.

First, let me say that I am unconvinced as to whether Epstein suicided or was the victim of a Clinton style suicide. There isn't enough evidence either way. I am enjoying the speculation, though.

That being said, have you ever had a friend or family member commit suicide? I had a friend in high school who came to school on Friday, was in great spirits, made plans to hang out with everyone at the A&W (don't judge, it was a small town) on Saturday night. He went home and ate a bullet that afternoon before his parents got home. It is not uncommon for someone who has made the decision to end their life to be in good spirits before doing the deed.

I'm the first to say that there is something wrong about this whole case. The government and its agents screwed the pooch big time, at the very least. If he was silenced to prevent his testimony, that's a huge issue (which will probably never be resolved). If, however, he committed suicide, we need to take a serious look at the system which gave him the opportunity. We apparently had the most inept guards in the prison system watching over the most high profile prisoner of the decade.

Assuming he was guilty of all the things he was accused of doing, I would have liked to learn who joined him in these activities.

Seems someone didn't want him to tell his story.
