Not inconceivable. The guy has a lot of women coming forward about him forcing himself on them against their will. He has a tendency to be indecent. Walking in on naked women during the Ms Universe contest to "check them out".....and this nasty relationship he's had w/ his daughter. Don't even want to go there.

Why are you trying to blame all this on the AG ?

Do you mean Barr ? If so Barr recused himself from the Epstein case on 7/8/2019.

“ Staff ” does not have authority to do this.

The warden who reports to the Dept of Justice, makes the call, upon recommendation of a psychologist. Given Epstein was the highest profile prisoner in any US detention facility, it is reasonable to assume the AG should have made certain, Epstein remained on Suicide Watch.

Epstein was booked in there in early July and it was confirmed to the press by the Prison system.
But now that he is dead there is no mention of him being in 10 south and the monitoring it already had.
Just another "strange" missing item here.

Inmates in the 10-South wing are locked inside single-man cells 23 hours a day with lights and CCTVs on at all times. The cells are equipped with a shower. In 10-South the food is served only by a "white shirt" (Sergeant or Lieutenant), never by a "blue shirt" (Correctional Officer)
That doesn't tell me that each cell has a CCTV. There may be a CCTV pointing into each area where cells are located and you can watch what happens outside them. Normally each cell of a prison does not have a CCTV but any common and/or yard areas have them.

It happened on and under his watch.

I am not convinced Barr was not aware Epstein was no longer under Watch. This will never be known unless there is documentation.

Most prisoners do not remain under Watch indefinitely. Epstein was not most prisoners. Did Barr make clear Epstein needed to remain under Watch?

Someone is mighty quiet. Way uncharacteristically so. Usually they ignore their advisors and blow long and hard on whatever subject no matter how controversial, especially if it's something they've been directly or indirectly connected to. This is the first time that I can recall that someone is actually staying silent. Just an observation about the idea of "convenient" mentioned in the thread topic. Bluster finds it super inconvenient and uncomfortable when it cannot be itself but quiet it is.

So even if he were taken off suicide watch he was housed in 10 South that has cameras on each prisoner in their cell 24/7.

Well TRUMP can brag about another milestone:

How many other Presidents have had White House members or friends who have been indicted or arrested or killed?

Being a Trump acolyte seems to destroy you.

It’s been going on for 25+ years.

That a multi year investigation of The Clinton’s connection to Whitewater, nearly 20 years prior to his presidency and where that investigation led, bore no fruit. There was insufficient evidence to press charges. No shortage of people chose to believe otherwise. It is similar to reactions to the Mueller investigation and outcome that many will never accept.

Your link doesn't say this so we don't know for sure. The only way we know is if someone specifically tells us.
