That Epstein was put on Suicide Watch implies he had either made an attempt or created a perception he had made an attempt.

His death is meaningless. If there is unaltered proof of those who engaged with teen girls, it could be released post humous by entrusted people. His death is no assurance of silence.

It however, does not fit with conspiracy theories being retweeted by Trump. Sounds to me like classic bait/ switch. Media focus on El Paso and Dayton shifted. It seems to ignore that whatever happened, happened in a Federal detention facility under the control of the AG and acting director of prisons.
But William Barr is appalled. Appalled!

Is it really so hard to believe that after a first failed suicide attempt, that he succeeded in a second after being taken off suicide watch?

A man who went from a life of privilege and wealth, to a man facing the rest of his life in prison, and knew the walls were closing in, knew the future ahead of him on the inside, and kills himself. Is it really a stretch or hard to imagine? Does no one else believe in a case of Occam's Razor?

Epstein was taken off suicide watch at the end of July, the person said.

Epstein’s removal from suicide watch would have been approved by both the warden of the jail and the facility’s chief psychologist, said Jack Donson, a former prison official who worked for the Bureau of Prisons for more than two decades.

Jeffery Epstein's apparent suicide is fueling rumors and questions

Should he have stayed on suicide watch?

Suicide watch usually lasts just one or two days, said Jack Donson, a former correctional treatment specialist for the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

"I've never seen in my entire career a suicide watch lasting more than a week," Donson said. "So the context of him committing suicide while on watch, that's just a fallacy."
AG Barr could have made certain the most high profile inmate in this facility remained under Watch. For whatever reason, this did not happen. We will never know if Barr was aware he had been taken off Watch. One would think people within the DOJ was aware, given the high profile nature of Epstein.

It’s been 2.5 weeks since the 7/23 incident. DOJ has yet to release a report of that investigation.

Guards on Jeffrey Epstein’s unit were working extreme overtime shifts to make up for staffing shortages the night of his apparent suicide, a person familiar with the jail’s operations told the Associated Press.

The person familiar with the Metropolitan Correctional Center’s operations told the Associated Press on Sunday that one guard in Epstein’s unit was working a fifth straight day of overtime and another guard was working mandatory overtime. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because he lacked authorization to discuss jail operations publicly.

The jail staff failed to follow protocols leading up to Epstein’s death, according to a report from the New York Times, deepening the fallout from what led to the highly connected financier’s apparent suicide.

Is this the next excuse getting thrown out there? Another rumor, so it's easily dismissed if people aren't satisfied with it. Just like "the cameras malfunctioned, that's why we have no footage" rumor that was subsequently dismissed as fallacious. I think the powers that be are fishing. They're going to keep throwing out one unsubstantiated rumor after another until they find one that seems to satisfy the American people. I expect that once they find one that satisfies the majority of people, that will quickly become the official story. Then they'll get all the prison staffers onboard with that version of events.

All you had to do is ask. Additional people to watch this insanely high profile prisoner would have been made available from elsewhere almost instantly. Sorry, not good enough. Try again.

Last thing we need is pointing fingers at Clinton or Trump. One voice calling “BS”, not everyone pointing fingers. This will be ridden into yesterday by the msm and faux outrage. C’mon people, can’t we be disgusted together without belonging to a team?

Pretty sure Epstein's "suicide" was a message to all involved that if you have information and you continue to talk, you will end up like Epstein. My guess is a couple of lower-level heads will roll, and possibly some individuals who are already deceased will be implicated, and that will be it. People are going to be too scared to spill the beans with what just happened to Epstein. The really big names will be protected.

That's not "deep state". That's in plain sight...just like Epstein and Trump, etc. were grabbing butts in plain site.

Surely you folks have watched prison movies and read real-world accounts - the reasons for such things can be as little as some sex, a couple bucks or the promise of something on the outside.

I doesn't take much money or power to "work with" prison folks on either side of the bars....especially when their bosses (the next level up) make it clear they will protect them.
His death does nothing to preclude civil suits against Epstein’s estate, including suits by those who previously settled with Epstein. Those suits can name names. The “ victims”, not Epstein, are the great risk of exposure.

Virginia Roberts Giuffre disclosed some names. That she claims is not proof.

We are supposed to believe that at age 17, she knew who Dershowitz was. A coincidence that he was a part of Epstein’s original defense team?

The real puppet masters would consider the Clintons to be servants. People like the Bushes might be trusted servants, but the Clintons would be troublesome servants that needed constant cleaning up after. Obama would be more like a pet. So I'd put Epstein's murderers higher up than them. He had dirt on the masters of the world banks, global commerce, heads of state, crowned heads of Europe, entertainment moguls. I don't think he was as depraved as some like the Podestas, but bad enough. But the Clintons have been awfully quiet and its been publicly stated that some high up favorites of the left are going to have to be dropped over this affair. Let's hope that still happens.
We can always trust the government to protect us. And to screw us and to lie to us and steal from us and to prey on us.
