I could see broken bones if you're hanging from the rafters.
But in a jail cell ? Bed was 4ft high. Best he could hope for is twisting and turning that paper sheet so he asphyxiated himself.

This myth about paper bed sheets needs to stop. They have actual sheets in their cells. They have actual blankets in their cells. They have actual mattress pads in their cells. Are they as nice and comfy as we are used to? Absolutely not. They are pathetic, but they are not paper.

On suicide watch you're given paper sheets. He was taken off suicide watch apparently, hence he would have access to sheets.

Yes, a jolt big enough to break your neck. You usually need a 5-10 ft drop to break someone's neck. Where in his cell could he achieve that fall?

People commit suicide in jails and prisons frequently. They find ways. I don’t feel comfortable posting about methods though.

IT could pause cameras on one shot.

Reportedly, both guards were asleep for three hours, so the system could be copying the same shot over and over for three hours and no one would be the wiser.

You can hang yourself in jail - you will die from strangulation. Your neck won't break. That requires a big enough fall.

In movies and TV you are correct, in real life...not so much.
