Former NFL player Jack Brewer on Trump-Cummings feud: 'I asked Trump' to call him out

"I had a chance to meet with President Trump, and I told him please call out Elijah Cummings and Baltimore. I asked him to do that three weeks ago and he did it," said Brewer, a former NFL linebacker from 2002 to 2006.

...
Brewer, who went on to a successful business career after his playing days, blames the politicians in Baltimore for focusing only on "issues that help them raise money," instead of the issues plaguing the "poor black kids whose parents are not donating to their PACs and funds."

Brewer called out Cummings directly for being "front and center" when it's politically convenient and questioned his lack of action in his own city.

...
"We look and see all the hype over El Paso, my heart goes out to them, my heart goes out to Dayton, Ohio. But the same weekend, 51 people were shot between Chicago and Baltimore and no one says anything and these are the same lives."

51 people shot! They are the forgotten... forgotten by the Democrats and their media because that tragic body count does not advance their anti gun agenda. If only the 51 were shot by a white guy wearing a NRA hat that would be a different story.

Imagine Jack Brewer, a black guy that convinced a white man (Trump) who has a much larger voice and audience to call out another black guy for his inaction on crime, violence and terrible living conditions for his constituents and somehow the white man is labelled a racist for criticizing the elected black guy?

When it comes to Trump the Left has a terrible habit of shooting the messenger.

This kinda blows the whole Leftist/Democrats' attack/allegations of Trump's comments being racist out of the water, doesn't it?

It basically came from a black guy.

Watch the Leftist mainstream media now not give this much coverage.

Trump is a counter puncher. He made racist Cummings pay for his lies about the border.

Truth.. I would like to hear more of what this man has to say than either Trump or Cummings. I bet this is as close to the real truth as you will get.

The media only has one talking point now. If you disagree with their agenda/Leftist talking points you are a "white supremacist"/racist, etc.

I had figured this would be Burgess Owens, an ex-NFL player turned conservative. I admire this guy for speaking out but I think his diagnosis is off.

The problem of cities like Baltimore and Chicago is big city machine politics, pioneered by 'Boss' Tweed in NYC about 150 years ago, and still going strong. Boss Tweed even had his version of identity politics. Back then it was Irish immigrants instead of inner-city blacks and Hispanics.
