No problem. I suspected that Trump's support was holding strong among the framer crowd for the reasons listed in the article/survey, but this just confirms it for it. Honestly, its the similar to the reason why these voters supported Democrats for so long . . . they talked a good game, whereas Republicans apart from not talking a good game were openly in favor of "free trade" that many farmers and others saw as harmful to their way of life (rightly or wrongly). Trump just changed everything as he went from talk to actual action.
Larry, you need to give it a rest. Good grief. Stop being a DNC shill.
He could be right. If too many farmers can't pay off their loans, that is where a recession could start in a chain reaction. To put it simply, people can't pay me what I'm owed, so I can't pay people what I owe them.
There is a reason why farmers still support President Trump. Yes, there is temporary pain, but they respect a president who is actually fighting for them as opposed to all the others who merely paid them lip service.
Many rural folks do tend to vote against their best interests. But then they may think their best interest is keeping a president who is against abortion. After all, the article did say, "Rural voters tend to be more socially conservative and have long seen the Republican Party as a more comfortable home."
