I don't consume huge amounts of media, but I'm aware of the perceived dishonesty and alienation of certain groups of people by the media. However, when I look at it from a business/capitalist standpoint it's hard for me to understand why one of the would have a hard time connecting the dots. At some point when you consistently put profits above the people you're bound of not gaurenteed to run into situations where things simply can't maintain a balance. It's like a triple beam with the people on one end and profits on the other, but the profits consistently outweight the people at each measurement.
