I just find it all sadly ironic as people protest something and it's not even a great example of the (very real) issue at hand while they're blindly herded towards what events they should and should not get upset about due to political allegiances.
Ferguson would never have become a big deal if it had happened in Chicago, LA, NY etc.
It was only allowed and encouraged because it wasn't a big city with powerful connections able to deflect and call about political alliances in groups like the NAACP and various black politicians to help calm down the situation.
People like the protester are well intentioned sheep, herded away from some areas and allowed to graze where the shepherd wants.
Dissent is as American as apple pie.
This is what truly makes America great.
Are we supposed to be just a bunch of patriotic robots?
Stop it.
There's a time and place for dissent, and it's NOT at a host country, after you were awarded a medal, and during the playing of your own damn national anthem.
You must not be familiar with world history. If other countries, with their atrocities going back decades, haven't had THEIR participants do this, ours sure shouldn't be.
They're not protesting. They're engaging in more self-indulgent outrage on a world stage--and their laughingstocks, to boot.
Bravo! On the 5th aniversary of Michael Brown death at the hands of a White Police Officer! A true Justice Warrior
Wasn't he the one who robbed a convenience store with his buddy and then attacked the unlucky police officer who showed up to deal with his knuckleheaded butt? (that turned out to be not very smart!)
