It's also important to note that Burger King isn't even an American company anymore. Its completely owned by a larger company called Restaurant Brand International, which is Canadian.

So when you go to Burger King, you're basically sending your money abroad to Canada and not helping our country at all!

This kind of thing happens all the time at Burger Kings across the country. Last year not too far from me in St. Francisville, Louisiana, employees bringing personal politics onto the job refused service to police officers and it made the national news .Same thing happened in Florida before that.

Also, BK's official FB page mocked President Trump for buying their products for a college team's visit to the White House. Clearly Burger King is making it clear that those of us who support the President are not welcome and that they are a liberal, Democrat, pro-Obama company not worthy of my money.

This is happening too frequently to be a coincidence. I simply can't imagine something like this happening at at Chick fil A.
Do you understand the concept called FRANCHISE? I guess not.

[quote=Chowhound;55914990]I think it doesn't make sense for businesses to get too political.

NEVER NEVER mix politics with business.

And Canada has been a terrible ally of the U.S. For instance, Canada entered WW2 before us. How dare they be so presumptuous.

So for you its not important to keep our money in the US economy vs sending it abroad, even if its not to a hostile country like China, Mexico, or India?

This is still money leaving our country whenever you go to Burger King. And this is still an example of foreign nations buying up America and our government allowing it to happen. Many other "American" companies are now foreign owned including Budweiser. If we allow this to happen, we will no longer be in control of our own country. You really think its okay for foreigners to control the US economy in this fashion?
