You’re very naive

This isn't news at all.
You clearly didn't read the article.

Even these hit pieces don't suggest that the alleged EO will censor social media.

There is an issue with these larger companies like Facebook and Google that have control to some degree a lot of the information available to you but having government bureaucrat deciding what is acceptable for them to censor is a very dangerous path.

With the size and control of many of these companies you are getting into monopoly territory. It's not just the content end but the underlying infrastructure as well.

No single company will ever control the entirety of the internet.....that’s simply not how the “underlying infrastructure” operates or is designed.

The end user has a vast choice in search engines, social-media providers, and service providers, on top of the most basic choice to not use it at all.

This would not be workable. A site using a forum format like this one would become useless.

The internet can't be censored, by design. It's a network rather than a hub-and-spoke model designed to survive nuclear war.

Various content providers and aggregators have attempted to gain control of the application layer of the internet, but they have all failed.

And yet the FCC under this administration want to kill Net Neutrality. I guess some monopolies are okay. just matters who owns those monopolies.

Your guarantee and CNN's credibility are totally invalid without evidence, which doesn't exist.
