I was watching WABC News in NY tonight. They said 50% of them are on some sort of public assistance. Disgraceful!

Birthright citizenship in the United States was NEVER intended to be used and abused now at the time the 14th Amendment was passed. That Amendment explicitly dealt/was concerned with states trying to deny citizenship to newly freed slaves and their descendants. People who were certainly under the jurisdiction of the United States, which the amendment requirements. Children of illegals are not under the jurisdiction of the United States as their parents are in the country illegally!

It is disgraceful. There are US citizens--people who have a right to be in this country--who are struggling to get by. We should not be publicly subsidizing non-citizens. Period.

If they are legal residents but non-citizens, would you make an exception with some potential conditions, whatever those conditions could be?

Perhaps for people granted asylum, many of whom will have nothing but the clothes on their backs and who will need all the assistance they can get. But that's about all I can realistically support.

Too funny !
