????? So the USA is in Germany for its own selfish reasons but somehow Germany is suppose to give the USA a reason to stay.

Stay or don't -- but don't make it like some big martyrdom thing.

The great truth is that they still fear Germany, have caused two wars, and want to ensure that Germany does not cause a third, the German people have been weakened since the end of the war, indoctrinated to become weak and pathetic like the Americans ... where American democracy has come, society has degenerated, the great Japanese and South Korean people have become a joke, men wearing makeup, all sorts of sexual depravity, depredation of religion and culinary tradition, one disaster after another.

I know that this isn't P/C, but by America protecting American interests around the world, it has led to the byproduct of the global economy enjoying global stability... If the world believes that either China or Russia can provide same level of peace stability, WITHOUT seizing their neighbor's land, water ways/ports and/or raw materials, you're simply lying to yourself!!

Since AMERICA arrived as a superpower, at the end of World War 2, we haven't had another World War... Yes, we have had plenty of small bush wars/conflicts, but what major Western country has been on a total war footing since 1945?? The answer is none.

So in the big picture, how bad is it when America protects her interest?

Yup -- in the big picture -- for the most part -- not in all cases -- American interests served help others.

But to pretend the USA is some kind of martyr in all of this is naive. It is money that the USA military thinks is well spent.

Russia under Putin is hardly trustworthy, and as for the Persian Gulf most of the world's oil is transported through it, and industrial Germany is both dependent on Russian fuel and oil.

In terms of the Germans they are increasingly going to have to defend themselves rather than rely on others, and the same is true of the EU.

The withdrawl of the UK from the EU will now mean that over 80% of defence spening in terms of countries comes from outside of the EU.

I have already stated that relying on Britain and the US may not be an option in the future, and as a Briton I can honestly say unlike previous generations I wouldn't lift a finger for Europe and the EU.

If Germany cannot contribute even a token amount to their own defense, we should vacate that country and relocate to Poland, taking the economic activity with us as well.

In terms of collective defence spending by all NATO countries budgets, now that the UK is leaving the EU, 80% of defence budgets in NATO is now provided by non-EU members, namely the US, UK and Canada.
