Even though France is a Catholic stronghold, there are many French Muslim citizens. It's not barring free speech, just quelling a hate crime imo. What if she was insulting Jews or black people? What France is also doing is preventing others from taking Bardot seriously and then committing physically acts of violence against Mustlims within their country. I see nothing wrong with the charges being brought up against her.

Agree! But what is so worrisome - is the attitude it represents. That is what has me upset. Speak the truth and if it is about Muslims, get prepared for a smacking. Outrageous.
Only if you say something about muslims this is happening. The other way around.... nothing is going to be done, so scared are they of the muslims. This is just the beginning.
Great Britain already allows (looks the other way) Sharia law in some of the muslim enclaves...
