Looks like those Europwimps that were laughing at Trump need to take a hard look at their own nations, and do the right thing for their citizens and workers for once. But we know that is just not how Europe works. More than likely, they will try to release that pent up anger and frustration with another pointless, stupid war. That pretty much describes how backward Europe has operated for over 1000 years.

Macron is so disliked in his country that 800,000 people took to the streets to protest his pitiful leadership. Maybe he will send the police out as usual to crack skulls while he enjoys his luxury lifestyle, paid for by the marginalized and overtaxed French workers. If I'm not mistaken, workers in France are the highest taxed in the world.

Macron is not popular in his country, because he is taking hard steps to reduce pensions that the country can not afford, which everyone in France knows need reformed, but don't want to give up any of their money. Macron is probably no more unpopular in his country than Trump is in this country.

Macron is at 40% approval rating, generously. Probably a bit lower now. But his approval rating was even lower in the summer, something like 35%. Before that, I think it was even lower. There have been massive protests going on and off again in France for several years now. This is not a sign of prosperity. Why anyone thinks we should operate like miserable Europe is beyond me.

I'm not sure what Trump's approval rating is. The numbers vary so widely that it's very difficult to take the "results" seriously. Especially with the none stop hate being pumped out by the left wing media propaganda machine.

At least the French people get off their asses and strike to show their displeasure with their system.

Americans don’t do squat.

France could afford the pension system had Macron, and previous administrations not turned nearly a quarter of the country into a refugee Muslim state that won't assimilate to their new country and refuse to work. Remember the riots a few years ago that started in Muslim controlled areas of France. The reason was of the high unemployment. No sane Frenchman was going to hire someone with no skills. The French government decided to pacify the rioters and give them more free stuff. Well, nothing is free. Who winds up paying? The people of France. You reap what you sow.

You're right, you cannot have a socialist system that works when you have a mass influx of unskilled immigrants. It is untenable.

40% is approval much higher than previous French presidents. They literally hate anyone they elect after two weeks.

Because life is pretty comfortable here in America vs most of the world, so why protest? There will always be losers who protest any chance they get. There is usually not enough losers in a society to draw massive, densely packed protest crowds when things are stable and life is relatively comfortable, even if it is not necessarily "prosperity".

And Trump's is probably higher, but who really knows, when the media is almost entirely owned and operated by the left? They clearly coddle their anointed democrats, while devoting 23 hours a day towards pumping pure hate into the hearts of viewers with non stop assaults on the president.
