Portland is a terrific city. Powell's Books, Saturday Market, wonderful people. Have great memories of living there.

Easy to understand why the Proud Boys, the Daily Stormers, and their kindred spirits keeping rolling into Portland ready to fight, ready to show the world they can "stick it to the libs," that they are the tough guys. Portland is where the liberals are.

Rather than getting down on their level, it would likely be a better strategy to laugh at them.

Video tape their ridiculous getups. Post their slack-jawed faces on Facebook and Instagram.

Lot of people claim they've never met anyone as hateful as this. Imagine their surprise to check their FB and see their potbellied cousin wearing a ridiculous helmet, chanting Nazi slogans.

Imagine the manager at the Hot Dog Hut when he realizes that that the French fry guy who called in sick was actually out trying to stir up some trouble.

Ah, good times.

Joe Biggs, a Florida-based member of the Proud Boys and InfoWars contributor, is organizing this.

Not sure if he was the one who filed for the permit.

SPLC probably listed Mother Teresa as a hate group.

In Charlottesville, the marchers attacked a group of students the night before. None of the students were identified as Antifa.

Several are facing prison terms over a beatdown of a local guy who was not Antifa either.

Then there was Heather Heyer who was killed and the dozen or so who were injured by the alt-right guy in the car.

None of the above were identified as Antifa.

It is pro-sex work, very accepting of Heroin and Meth. Thankfully Austin is not like that.

Portland is a very nice city; I've stayed there several times. It feels safe, modern, clean, and well-maintained. There's plenty to see and do. It's not a crime-riddled dump like some of the east coast cities I've visited.

This one might make national news. Antifa usually outnumbers and attacks local "free speech rally", bloodying elderly or smaller people with weapons. This one may be different. If pantifa gets pounded, this event will surely make national news with "far right" being lambasted 24/7

This is a recruitment rally for the Proud Boys and their kindred spirits.

While some look at Charlottesville and wonder what the hell gets into people, others see a group struggling to be heard and want to join.

Wonder how many will join this time around.

Yes the Antifa response can be stupid. But let’s be clear, this is being organized by out of state ‘alt-right’ folks solely looking to stir up trouble.

I see many people here and elsewhere make it try to seem the other way around.
