If she did this and any other allegations like that against, then she should be in prison for a long time. If any made-up one such claims against her, they should be in prison for a few years. The same goes for any celebrity and any person that makes-up claims against any celebrity.

Very different dynamic. He might’ve been embarrassed but there’s no physical threat like a man will often pose to a woman. Publicly chastise her but prison, eh. She should have the decency to make a good apology, though.

Nope. It’s about power. Women do not get a pass.

Career power yeah, so not a full pass, but she lacks the physical intimidation which makes it truly terrifying for a woman were the genders reversed.

Physical intimidation pales into insignificance when a person has the influence necessary to end someone's career.

Indeed, it can be more traumatizing since unlike physical intimidation there's no excuse that you could not physically stop it happening. Sure you could, but the fear of career destruction led you to accept the abuse. That messes with peoples heads worse than physical threat since there seems to be an element of choice in it.

Well sexual assault is simply defined as unwanted sexual contact. No need to show physical intimidation. She has a past of unwanted sexual contact. She kissed a contestant on American Idol without his permission. Lucky for her he didn’t care to pursue it.

Rape is about both power/control and sex, so that is an abhorrent combo! If Katy did this, put her away for a long time!

I’m outnumbered and don’t choose to die on this hill, so lock her up I guess.
