According to some it was below voter turnout in 2008 and just below 2012:
What we know...
  • Around 138 million Americans voted in the 2016 presidential election. From Business Insider.
  • However, those 138 million Americans only make up 58.1% of our voting-eligible population (those American citizens over 18). From United States Elections Project.
  • In Pennsylvania, it is estimated that 61.3% of voting-eligible population voted, around 5,965,000 people. From United States Elections Project.
  • While these numbers seem high, our voter percentage is not higher than the 2008 (61.6%) or 2012 (58.6%) election turnout. From United States Elections Project.

Other sources have it just above the 2012 turnout, but still a full 2 points below '08:

...About 139 million Americans, or 60.2 percent of the voting-eligible population, cast a ballot in November’s elections, according to data compiled by the U.S. Elections Project. That compares with 58.6 percent of eligible voters who turned out in 2012, but it’s below the 62.2 percent who turned out to help elect Obama for the first time in 2008....

So, as I said, not a banner year.
according to others it was the second highest since 2008:

1964 114,090,000 70,098,000 61.4%
1968 120,285,000 73,027,000 60.7%
1972 140,777,000 77,625,000 55.1%
1976 152,308,000 81,603,000 53.6%
1980 163,945,000 86,497,000 52.8%
1984 173,995,000 92,655,000 53.3%
1988 181,956,000 91,587,000 50.3%
1992 189,493,000 104,600,000 55.2%
1996 196,789,000 96,390,000 49.0%
2000 209,787,000 105,594,000 50.3%
2004 219,553,000 122,349,000 55.7%

2012 235,248,000 129,235,000 54.9%
2016 250,056,000 (estimated)[10] 138,847,000 (estimated)[10] 55.5% (estimated)[10]

If we are agreeing to that, that would mean that we are agreeing that all polls about all matters are useless.

Im not sure I am there quite yet, but I think I could be persuaded.

Below the '04 turnout according to your numbers, as well.

Yes. and the thread title would quote exactly that instead of posting a thread title that is completely misleading. Because liberals know how to post factual threads & not this childish clickbait knee jerk junk. Maybe read things before posting.

You folks who like to demonize Caucasians do realize that you are empowering the white nationalists that you supposedly abhor, right? What do you expect "white people" to do when you are constantly demonizing them? What would any rational person do who is being unjustly demonized? Well, they would circle the wagons. That's natural instinct for self-preservation.

What they (except for a very few defectives) won't do is look at themselves in a mirror, pull out a straight razor, and slit their own throats because they see white skin in the reflection.

What the will do (instinctively at some point) is think to themselves, "Well, okay, if all the rest of these people hate us, I guess we are going to have to stick together and find a place we can go and live in peace on our own." THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT WHITE NATIONALIST WISH TO DO! Don't you get that? You are practically cattle-prodding Caucasians into a reactive state. What the hell else do you expect them to do when they can't even take a crap without being called racist? Diversity my ass--you liberals want that like you want a root canal.

Yep. 100% correct. I mean it doesn't seem like the most intelligent move...but ya know..no doubt they expect more WNist attacks and will use it to crack down on free speech and gun rights etc etc.

In light of diversity used as a weapon, why do we need diversity forced upon us through open borders? Why would anyone not want autonomy? Why would that even be considered a bad thing and not a good thing. Diversity Nationalist seemed to be the real root of all that's wrong.

It's not but more importantly it's completely unethical and immoral in my view, but it's a strategy that can't lose. Open borders to counter voters immutable by their identity is a numbers game that can't lose.

It's a mike1003 post citing CNS. In other words, only good for a game of "Spot the rabble-rousing".
