The tariffs have killed the bull market. The market is most likely at least 15% lower than it would be without the trade war.

You left out that unemployment is up, household debt is up, and manufacturing and industrial output is down.

I don't think anyone is singing "we're in the money" to the Dow Jones being up 15 points, especially after yesterday.

Well the Republican congress critters would seem to believe him, or at the very least content to turning a blind eye to his infantile musings. Has nothing whatsoever to do with my likes or dislikes; either option is the "self fulfilling prophecy" you allude to.

Because those other 2 items are current news that hit between yesterday and today.
The economics forum is the better place to discuss items like this. Way too much political bias over here.

U.S. stocks tried to bounce back on Thursday from a steep selloff a day earlier, as strong retails sales data and upbeat Walmart earnings eased concerns of a recession, but mixed signals on trade and Cisco’s dismal forecast capped gains.

The enemy (china) of your enemy(United States of America) is your (pukes) friend.

Which free trade deals? The U.S. has never had a free trade deal with China.
