Nice try, but the truth is this so called claim is BS, which is exactly with the FBI statistics show. Yes, if you want to parse out different types of guns, you can play around with the statistics. But they don't segregate the information for different types of hammers or other blunt objects.

I get the general problem. One group in the population wants to ban guns entirely (they are somewhat fungible after all), another not. Even with decreasing homicide rates people are becoming risk averse at an even faster rate. There's a large criminal class in the US who commit the majority of homicides who are members of a protected class at the same time. The further your average 'citizen' has a job removed from the physical reality of putting food on the table, the more important their internet knowledge of the world becomes.
You know, Western Civilization had a pretty good run but I have to admit that it's decline can be fun to watch.
In terms of types of gun used in murders in the US nearly a third or 28% are unknown, whilst in terms of rifles the figure is 4% but in terms of nun massacres the figure is probably far higher. The largest percentage went to handungs which was 64% but that is to be expected given the fact a lot of Americans keep a hangun rather than a rifle.
In terms of the worst mass shootings in the US whether rifle or handgun, one word is mentioned in terms of the type of weapon and that word is semi-automatic, ewhich is why other countries have banned semi-automatic centre-fire rifles and handguns, whilst restricting shotguns to a capacity of no more than three cartridges (in magazine plus the breech).
Why should SUICIDES count as violent crime HOMICIDES? Very few people commit suicide with rifles anyway. Duh. Nice try Lib nutjobs.
