People need to stop relying on the incompetent state for their protection. The answer is to make it easier for people to purchase guns, not harder.

I have an idea - why don't we ban drug dealing and ban murder?! Oh, wait!

King George and Santa Anna felt the same way. They were called tyrants.

The gun control 'nutters' as you so eloquently put it have countless statistics and examples to back up what they say, the gun 'nutters' however have nothing but exceptionally high death rates, countless destroyed families & paranoid population and lots and lots of blood on their hands - so who really are the 'nutters' here? Still 2nd amendment (whatever that means), freedom (yeah right) and all that.

Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney:

“This government, both on federal and state level, don’t want to do anything about getting these guns off the streets and getting them out of the hands of criminals. This guy is clearly a criminal, he was a criminal — he had, apparently a long record which I’m not sure, I don’t have it in front of me — but has been involved in the criminal justice system before. And he was able to get these weapons and a large magazine, a large amount of bullets.

“So whether it’s our six officers who were shot or it’s some 15, 17, 20-year-old kid on the streets of Philadelphia who gets shot with guns that shouldn’t be in people’s hands, it’s aggravating, it’s saddening and it’s just something we need to do something about. And if the state and federal government don’t want to stand up to the NRA and some other folks, then let us police ourselves. But they preempt us on all kinds of gun control legislation.

“Our officers deserve to be protected and they don’t deserve to be shot at by a guy for hours with an unlimited supply of weapons and an unlimited supply of bullets. So it’s disgusting and we have to do something about itâ€
How's that gun control working out for you in Washington DC and Chicago - both of which have some of the toughest laws in the country?

Yep. There's a no-snitch rule, or you and/or your family member(s) will pay with your/their lives. Hell, in Chicago, they routinely kill even pre-teen kids who refuse to join whichever gang is ruling the turf on which they live.

Here's more from this referenced article. Enforce the laws already on the books.

Quote:
Effective policing of the underground gun market could help to separate guns from everyday violent crime. Currently it is rare for those who provide guns to offenders to face any legal consequences, and changing that situation will require additional resources to penetrate the social networks of gun offenders.

Needless to say, that effort is not cheap or easy and requires that both the police and the courts have the necessary authority and give this sort of gun enforcement high priority.

Like the fact that most violent crime committed by people using a gun is inner city Black crime just like this one. So you want to just disarm only the law abiding, because career criminal, multiple felons like these DON'T FOLLOW more gun laws. How can you be so dense?

If you believe that criminals will follow yet another gun law added to the 22,000 already in the books you are a "nutter" as you say.

The way I read the 2nd amendment. Anyone that restricts my ability to arms, or wants to take any of the arms I have, should catch a hot one, from those very arms....
Many examples in our history have been witnessed for this to be the GODs truth.
Example #1. - Lexington
Example #2. - Concord
Example #3. - Gonzales
Example #4. - Alamo
Example #5. - Waterloo.
