If I was a gas station owner. I would do everything in my power to push back on a movement that’s basically trying to put me out of business over a hoax. To the life of me I don’t understand why gas station owners haven’t pushed back? Good idea? Bad idea?
As a former gas station owner, I can tell you I was more concerned about running the business efficiently to meet monthly overhead rather than using it as a podium to make political statements.
I suppose some owner or group owners could do so, the petroleum products industry has a long history of creative marketing, but it would be a gamble on future business, whereas selling the gas in your storage tank today is more of a sure thing.
Its best to just nod and smile at the crazies while taking their money.
Man Made Climate Change is a wealth and income redistribution scheme. Read the Green New Deal. That's what it is ALL about. However, the Democrats, MEDIA, and Education has convinced the useful idiots that they can "save the planet" which gives them the self importance their ego needs. These potentially represents as much as 50% of their potential customers, whom also, interestingly enough believe in all the other KOOK Democrat policies.
A liberal's 20 dollar bill = a conservatives 20 dollar bill.
That maybe true short term. However, long term if I’m out of business. I’m not going to be able to collect a 20 dollar bill from either a liberal or conservative.

I would just add that it might be the right message, but it would absolutely be the wrong messenger.
Gas stations have too much skin in the game to be taken seriously.

No, they should get ready for what's coming and start installing fast charge facilities....Combine that with a restaurant. There are going to be far fewer stations needed though, as people will be charging their EVs at home as well....A friend just bought a Chevy Bolt, amazing little car. The only servicing required is occasional tire rotation...Range is 238 miles, and it's peppy as hell.

More than 350,000 new EVs will be sold in the U.S. in 2020. Those figures will give EVs a still tiny 2 percent share of the total U.S. fleet. By 2025, that figure is expected to rise to more than 1.1 million vehicles sold, or a 7 percent share
