They don't need to regulate packaging. Smoking has been on a steady decline for over a decade now.
We're at 14% as of 2016.

Focus on obesity instead is what I think they should do if they deem they need to regulate lifestyle.

With our exceptionalism we should be leading the pack!

You can replace cigarettes with fast food on those labels and get the same or worst after effects.

14% smoke as of 2016 and that number is decreasing each year.
26% are obese and that number is increasing each year.

I think you can leave the cigs alone...it's use is waning out naturally.

How's about some gross pictures on ice cream to deter obesity ?

This!!!

I think they are hilarious. I wish they had those when mom was alive and smoking, before she died of "COPD".

The law is on the books not allowing sales to minors. Full stop. How about enforcing that? Once you're 18, its your duty to inform yourself and make your own choices. These grotesque warning labels are a sickening overreach and bad precedent, that furthermore violate the first amendment.
Unfortunately, we all have to pay for those who make bad health decisions. If they had to pay for themselves it would be one thing. But we are all connected in this society.

It's absurd. Just let us adults live free and make choices for ourselves on the soil we pay for. Build roads and shut your faces.
Those pictures arent infringing on your freedom.

I do think they won the war on smoking when you look at the numbers.
They do need to refocus now on more current health issues which are increasing as time goes on and has already surpassed the smoking numbers.
