I think every US President in modern times has found a reason to drop bombs all over the world. The US pays for what it wants to be. We pay a lot for our military.

China is no better.

If you read the book HRC by Jon Allen and Amy Parnes (also authors of 'Shattered') you will see that China is dead on regarding Hillary. She was the driving force behind our handling of Libya. She met with exiled Libyans in Paris plotting to overthrow the gov't and install a new one. It was supposed to be the shining example for her 'smart power' theories.

There's a line in the book that says (paraphrase) "If the exiled Libyans wanted a hawk, they realized they had found one in Hillary." And it was Hillary who insisted on going after Osama bin Laden in Pak. when others in the inner circle were hesitant. In that case I'd say it worked out--in Libya obviously not.

I think I've seen it all.
I don't think conservatives support that. But Trump and his following do, and apparently are very happy to let fascists take over. Trump loves those dictators! Since Trump is taking the fascist side, he has to be against those fighting for democracy, and it goes without saying, the cult must think what Trump thinks. What the Chinese government does to people is pretty scary, and they signed an agreement when the handover took place--now they are simply breaking the agreement, ignoring their promise for HK sovereignty and screwing them over.

The OP's linked article is speaking for the Communist Party of China--state news for China, which apparently the OP respects enough to cite. The Chinese government disappears people regularly in China for whatever reason they want and however long they want. The Trump crowd should really stop pretending they are against fascism or Communism, as they seem to think these are the people to root for--the bad guys.

It is really ironic. The Trump crowd obviously adores Putin and Communist China, but then oddly turn around and call Dems Communists. It is not even hypocrisy--it is stupidity. People are citing a Communist Party propaganda publication as truth? Trump is rooting for the bad guys and his followers are going along.

If Hong Kong is allowed to become another possession of the Communist Party of China--people there too will be disappeared, mistreated and would lose human rights. I would fight like hell if I was Hong Kong and they should be supported in their fight for freedom by Americans who support freedom and democracy. This has nothing to do with war or dropping bombs. Trump is too much of a dictator to do that, but other prominent Americans are stepping up. Sad.

"...In late July and early August, the People’s Daily, the mouthpiece of China’s Communist party, published various commentaries that seemed to outline an unfolding strategy to counter the protests...

"...It’s not uncommon for individuals who speak out against the government to disappear in China, but the scope of the “disappeared” has expanded since President Xi Jinping came to power in 2013.
Not only dissidents and activists, but also high-level officials, Marxists, foreigners, and even a movie star — people who never publicly opposed the ruling Communist Party — have been whisked away by police to unknown destinations..."

"...People who criticize Beijing may be prosecuted for civil disobedience or deprived of the means of sustenance. Critics have been demoted or fired (or even physically attacked), and some had their works censored or their contracts terminated. Despite these threats, professionals in many fields have continued to assert their freedoms..."

Rioting is not democracy. It is mob action. What happened in Tiananmen Square was peaceful demonstration.

The tweet is a form of election influencing. Why else would the Chinese tweet something that is critical of Democrats except in the hopes that it will turn Americans away from that party? And obviously some posters have taken the bait.

The question that needs to be answered is why are the Chinese favoring Trump? It really makes no sense because of Trump's trade wars. There is something fishy going on here.

What did the Chinese say that was incorrect about Obama & Hillary? They ARE war mongers and their decisions got 10s of 1000s killed for nothing. Now Hillary is advocating for even more violence in Hong Kong. What do you think is good about that?

One thing about Hillary "then we should just bomb them the hell away" Clinton I never doubted, is that she's, by far, a bigger hawk than any the left could name with indignation.
