This is the accepted international distress signal. You may not accept it for another course of action but this is one of the accepted signals. This is not the only site that lists it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Distress_signal

Besides, "gun shots" are more stable than firecrackers......to say nothing about causing wildfires.

No, I think it will eventually happen and it will be fast tracked to SCOTUS where it will be immediately reversed along with a LOT of other unconstitutional firearm laws.

That's why they won't do it because it's the land of no return for Dems. But regardless, there no assault weapon and never was or will be a "ban".

explained There is no such thing as an assault weapon or an actual ban on them

I've heard that guns can cause wildfires too.

We already had an assault weapon ban back in 1994, so it's not exactly unprecedented. It survived several constitutional challenges, but not the politics.

The only way to legally enact a firearms ban is by amending the 2nd Amendment, but you think Trump and Congress could enact a far-reaching ban? Really?

The Left wants to circumvent the Constitution, even though the Supreme Court has ruled that the Second Amendment is an individual right, and COMMON USE firearms are untouchable. AR-15's are the most common use rifle in the U.S. except for criminals who mostly use concealable hand guns.

I'm with you, but in fairness that was prior to the Heller decision of 2008. The 1994 ban had expired in 2004. The court rulings might differ in the post-Heller era.

Two or three bullets should be enough for any legitimate purpose.
And it took over 50 rounds to take him out....2 or 3 bullets should be enough ..WTF

A restriction of certain types of weapons already passed back in the 1990's, it just banned ownership of certain weapons. Very weak and ineffective legislation because it was so narrow and manufacturers changed design to get around the law, there should be much broader legislation to be effective.

It doesn't completely ban your right to a firearm.
