I've very sorry that this happened to that woman. No one should have to go through that. I can empathize because I've been a crime victim a few times myself. Based on my experience, while this stuff happens alot in the city, it can happen to you in suburban areas too. I got robbed in the suburbs. I was jumped by a few people and some money stolen from me.

Most LE departments have special protocols for dealing with Meth addicts in the tweaking phase because of the propensity for violence.

There are Meth addicts in every municipality and state.

Meth is rarely the drug of choice within unsheltered homeless populations.

Meth isn't a big choice, but alcohol is. I've noticed that many homeless (at least here in the Atlanta area) have issues with alcohol.

NYC is also overrun by homeless, and many are deranged.

We need the massive mental hospitals opened again, with these deranged folks permanently placed there 100% of their remaining time on Earth.

The mentally deranged, that is one thing. Mentally stable people who happen to be homeless, that is another issue. Spikes in rent prices have a tendancy to make many people homeless.

The left loves their homeless, nothing will happen to him.

I'll pass on watching a violent pitchfork attack, but I would happily take up residence in Seattle, if I could afford the place. Getting a bit crowded up there in the PNW.
