How many times over the past decade have you heard of temperature records being broken? It seems every year, every summer, there is news of some month breaking the record for the hottest ever, and a month later, the record is broken. This record is likely to be broken next summer.
Threads like this one help reaffirm why we are doing nothing about mitigating climate change.
An Idiocracy indeed.
It might have something to do with the fact that the US is only about 15% of the world's greenhouse emissions. We could drop to 0 emissions tomorrow and wouldn't even begin to make a dent in anything except literally bankrupting the country.

The AGW loons completely ignore this.
If the US cut CO2 emissions to ZERO, it would make no difference whatsoever.
Obsessing over "remedies" to AGW is like a lunatic swatting at imaginary flies buzzing around his head. Lots of action- little results.
If the positive feedback loop were real, why didn't the earth become uninhabitable back when there was much more CO2 and even warmer 80 million years ago.
According to the positive feedback theory, alll that CO2 and heat would have caused more CO2 and heat. We wouldn't have had glacial periods between then and now.
FAIL!!!
