This is just one of the many things wrong with our country today. there are no values left it seems and kids are allowed to do any damn thing they want. Teachers are afraid to interfere and parents let kids think for themselves way to often.
I don't think it's a bad thing for kids to think for themselves. Otherwise they'll end up trusting CNN when they grow up.

Can't remember a prayer in Catholic school or public. I do remember the Pledge of Allegiance though. We had religion class in Catholic school, which more than fit the bill of your regularly scheduled indoctrination class. We were more worried about which sin was a Cardinal one vs a Mortal one than any prayers they taught us.

I think kids today should come up with a "Social Media Pledge". It's practically imbedded in their brains anyway

Prayer in schools is a good thing...it needs to make a comeback.

What part of the Koran do you suggest? What's your favorite passage?

Also, schools should teach that the Earth is 6,000 years old, the sun orbits the Earth, and that modern science is a bunch of lies from the pits of hell.

I’m 50 and we said the pledge and prayer. Later the prayer was replaced with a moment of silence, but most students still prayed. We also prayed before test and before eating the school lunch. We weren’t thanking God for the food we were about to receive. We were praying the food wouldn’t chip a tooth or make us sick.

Without it you end up with people like Antifa.
