I don't think he was really serious about buying Greenland. It was kind of like just tossing the idea out there, but as could be expected, the pea brains on the left have conniption fits over it. It wasn't a big deal and it's just more proof that the liberals obsess over Trump's every word, 24 hours out of every day.

And BTW, the U.S. made a somewhat similar effort to buy Greenland in 1947, by Harry Truman, a Democrat, who dropped the atomic bomb on Japan and also got us into the Korean War. At least in 1947 the Democrats were still somewhat real Americans and a president could do or say something without being crucified on social media and the press.

So there actually is some purpose behind this idiocy?

He just canceled a state visit over it. Although I suspect the cancellation was met with sighs of relief. Everybody knows you can't really have serious conversations with this administration. I do feel kinda bad for the US ambassador, though. (Yeah, not really.)

In 1947, when the US was at its apex. Now you're accelerating on the downslope.

Nobody knows. But crying "Ha-ha, I was just trolling you" is equally popular among losers on the Internet and this administration. (Yes, there's overlap.)

Yes, every time Trump makes a fool of himself the excuse is always "he's just trolling the libs".

Denmark better prepare for an incoming twitter storm. Strike the top mast and batten down the digital hatches. Prepare for tariffs on canned ham and Legos. This could get ugly.

Thing is -- Denmark invited Trump.

Did he really think he was going to discuss selling Greenland?

No -- that was something somebody must have said on Fox and he ran with it...and now he is embarrassed he suggested such a thing.

Dear Lord, the US ambassador to Denmark paid $250K to support his campaign, $100K to hs inaugural, and hosted a fundraiser for him in Bel-Air. (She's an actress who married rich.)

Imagine paying $350K for your own public humiliation.

That Ambassador is hiding out tonight. Poor thing is looking like some kind of idiot -- bragging about the trip just six hours ago -- and then less than an hour later Trump dumps the trip.

Why wait 'til then? Just pack some MAGA parkas and snowshoes and go now! An awesome win-win for all.

Bon voyage.
