It was a state visit. One which normal POTUS would see as a stop over.

Let’s not forget that Denmark is a member of NATO. It is Putin’s dream to have a land dispute between NATO nations. Putin’s puppet Trump is more than willing to make it happen.

The irony of Trump's supporters backing the purchase of Greenland like it wouldn't be the most Socialist, pro-Democrat state in the US. Some of you are so stupid in your adulation for anything Trump does. So stupid.

Lets trade Denmark, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Montana, Mississippi and Alabama for Greenland. About the same mass size.

Trump makes the US look idiotic with his inept attempts to bully other nations into doing what he wants. The man has no business being POTUS. It is too bad the 25th Amendment was not invoked back in 2017 by Rod Rosenstein.

Bullying a nation that is part of an alliance against Russia, non the less. A back door attempt to destabilize NATO.

More like “Negotiating Preschool-level.” Even my four-year grandchildren are quickly growing out of it, though.

I still think many who voted for him are in denial, or too hardheaded to admit their mistake.

Imagine what fun they'd be having had Clinton won. They could carry on from Obama bashing to Clinton bashing without losing a step.

But, sorry. We get to have the fun watching this guy stumble from day one (inauguration size).

Just hope the damage done isn't extreme and irreparable.

Heard WHERE? From the White House in yet another one of its statements unsupported by anything remotely close to factual?

And, IF it's such a "white elephant", WHY should American taxpayers be forced to buy it?

To be fair, when Andrew Jackson agreed to purchase Alaska from Russia, it was called “Seward’s Folly” by some, believing he purchased a worthless land, it has since proved to be a very wise decision and was a great achievement for Andrew Jackson's legacy. While on the surface purchasing Greenland might be a complete waste of money, there is an unknown potential of a huge wealth of resources under the ice. Purchasing Greenland could give Trump a notable footnote in history, for a President that really hasn't accomplished anything significant during his tenure in the White House.

This is why trump is floating the idea of purchasing Greenland, he's desperate for some kind of great accomplishment in his presidency. The trade war gamble has yet to bear any fruit, and the great economy he inherited from Obama is beginning to falter.
