Sadly Trump has upset a good ally in terms of Denmark and it shoukd be noted that a higher percentage of Danes per capita were killed fighting in Afghanistan than from any other nation.

BNW, you do know that USA Today is part of the 95% of the U.S. media that hates Trump, right? However, why should Russia be ostracized? They have a large economy, and are a huge trading partner of especially Europe with Fossil Fuels, specifically Natural Gas and other petroleum based products.
Yeah, no. You seem to be assuming that the Queen would actually think about it, perhaps take the advice of observers and advisors, and then make a well-informed decision one way or the other, and that would be that. Sucks to be you, Canada and Australia; the Queen Elizabeth rules!
But actually, no, under constitutional norms involving two independent countries sharing a head-of-state, the Queen would simply rubber-stamp anything the PMs of Canada and Australia decided to do between themselves, and then go on about her day. Heck, she probably would know nothing about such a deal, until she saw it on a BBC broadcast or read about it off the Reuters wire in a British newspaper.
You're ascribing much more power to the Queen than she actually has, according to the constitutions of both Canada and Australia (and the UK, for that matter). I cannot speak for Australia, but in the case of Canada, her power is so severely curtailed, that she is effectively powerless. And if she tries to use what few emergency powers she has under our constitution, she will only do so once. Because we will dump her if she tries to do so, outside of constitutional norms. Those norms have been laid down by tradition and caselaw, and the Queen knows enough that she will not challenge them. As I have said before, "The Queen works for us, not the other way around."
In Canadian constitutional legal circles, we often say, "The Queen reigns, but does not rule." In other words, she has little to no effect on daily political life; she issues no laws that have not been passed by the House of Commons and the Senate, nor passes any edicts by fiat (i.e. an executive order), and she is content to let us live under our own laws and constitution, with our popularly-elected lawmakers making our decisions. However, Americans seem to think that the Queen has some kind of enormous ruling power, that all Commonwealth citizens must accede to that power, and that all Commonwealth countries must adhere to the Queen's whimsical and capricious demands. Do these Americans not know that all former colonies, who are now independent countries with seats at the UN, have a Constitution that essentially strips the Queen of any worthwhile power? Or that the Queen is such an experienced stateswoman that she has no whimsical or capricious demands?
Thanks for the information. I knew that after WWII the empire underwent some major changes, but I never delved into the details. I do know the monarchy is basically just a custom these days with the queen serving as a traditional figurehead more than actual ruler, but we separated from England over 200 years ago so not really something germane to our daily life in the US.
In my area of the west, folks on both sides of the border have speculated for years about Alberta and Saskatchewan joining the US as states as the people there and in the western US of Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and the Dakotas have more in common than we do with Ottawa or DC. But again, that's just an intellectual exercise. I don't see something like that ever happening.
Denmark is a tiny insignificant little country equivalent to a smaller US state...if they won't sell us Greenland, who cares about them?
Why? Though Trump would like to cut us off from the rest of the world and wallow in America first selfishness, ignorance and imperialistic disdain for everyone outside of our borders, others of us believe we are part of a greater whole--i.e., the world, our allies, the planet.
Trump treats our allies in a truly disgusting, ignorant and crude manner, while praising our enemies and the tyrants of the world. He does not care about Americans or anyone else. He is locked inside his own fragile, insecure ego and is dragging the rest of us down with him.

Whoever gets to debate Trump should rebuttal him by saying, "why that's absurd," to see if he calls off the debate and walks out.
