Don't matter who was/is president. The economy goes up then down then up and down over and over.

We are in for a recession right now. When the layoffs begin - whom will they all blame?

Right wing radio/pundits will always blame the Democrats - for everything.

And left wing radio/pundits will always blame REPUBs - for everything. Just as they are doing now daily.

This is the NYT's new strategy. First it was Russia. Then it was racist. Now it's recession. NYT has no credibility anymore.

New York Times chief outlines coverage shift: From Trump-Russia to Trump racism

Dean Baquet, the executive editor of the New York Times, said recently that, after the Mueller report, the paper has to shift the focus of its coverage from the Trump-Russia affair to the president's alleged racism.

"We built our newsroom to cover one story, and we did it truly well," Baquet said. "Now we have to regroup, and shift resources and emphasis to take on a different story."

Baquet made the remarks at an employee town hall Monday. A recording was leaked to Slate, which published a transcript Thursday....

Agree - but that's the game isn't it?

People drive the economy - presidents set the environment for the people to operate.

Obama's environment involved a ton of regulations and a shifting, unsteady foundation for business owners.

Trump has gutted a ton of regulations and lowered corporate taxes and put America first by renegotiating bad trade deals. He made it a much easier environment to thrive in a business.

Businesses want stability and in this environment we have anything but that. I don't see any regulations that were cut that amount to anything significant but its often quoted as a reason for the economic success.
