Vietnam is a 3rd world country and scores higher on Math than the U.S. The average income in Vietnam is less than the amount or taxpayer money in the U.S. that goes to each K-12 student. The U.S. spends more than any other country on education.

There is no lack of education funding.

There is lack of:

* Standards ("No Child Left Behind" lol)
* Parenting
* IQ

It'd be better to compare salaries to a country with a comparable standard of living.

But yeah, in general the US K-12 schooling system doesn't measure up to its peers. The Universities are world-class though, so at least the educational elite are getting good training.

Your statement makes no sense to me, but perhaps I'm just too slow witted. Care to clarify?

Trump budgeted $60 billion for the EIC this fiscal year.

We spend more than enough on education. The problem with our education in the US is a lack of parents doing their jobs as parents.

You could get a great education for free online if you had the discipline. The problem is many kids are screwed by age 4 and don't have a shot.

Economic reasons are a major reason why many don't go to college in America. Lot's of smart poor people out there...shouldn't be denied educational opportunities. I'm all for having them attend college IF they get great grades and test scores! A very cost effective way to do it is community college first few years, then an inexpensive state PUBLIC school rather than a rip-off out of this world expensive private college. And yes, Asians as a group always get the best grades and test scores.

An educated society is a better society.

Please explain what you meant with the sentence in bold because IF, as you suggested, many kids don't have a shot at a decent education beyond age 4, why would we have a K-12 education system at all?
