why do you hate democracy?

Why do you invade other countries and force them to use democracy when you don't practice it here at home?
I went through this as much as I could. Do you think the US elects presidents based on a popular vote? Because if you do, my next question is how you juggle being a wrestling coach with what must be the considerable academic rigors of the fifth grade?

First, within the context of the Constitution, the meaning of college, as in the Electoral College, does not mean a school, but of a group of people organized toward a common goal.

The Electoral College was set up in the Constitution as a compromise between election of the President by a vote in Congress and election of the President by a popular vote of citizens who are eligible to vote. The 12th Amendment expanded voting rights. The result was that the use of the popular vote in the States as the vehicle for selecting electors changed radically.

According to the Constitution, the Founding Fathers determined that every state should be given votes equal to the number of senators and representatives in its U.S. Congressional delegation. This gives two votes for its senators in the U.S. Senate plus a number of votes equal to the number of its members in the U. S. House of Representatives. Therefore, every state has at least three electoral votes because even the smallest states have one representative and two senators.

The number of any additional electoral votes per state is determined by the United States Census which is completed every ten years. After the Census, the number of representatives is reapportioned to reflect any changes in population. That can mean the number of electors each state can vary in different presidential elections"

How our elections are SUPPOSED TO WORK...

https://www.bustle.com/articles/1916...s-how-it-works

"So how does the government decide how many electors each state has? That depends on how many seats in Congress a state has, and*that*number depends on the stateís population. The*U.S. Constitution says*that each state is allowed a number of electors ďequal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress.Ē Every state has two senators, so every state automatically gets two electors. The distribution of the House of Representatives, in contrast, is determined by population, which leads to the variation in electoral votes for each state. California, for example, is the most populous state in the nation, and has the most members of Congress (two senators and 53 representatives) and therefore the most electoral votes (55). Californiaís 55 votes are followed in size by Texasís 38

... so in synopsis the electoral college's electoral power is supposed to be directly proportional to the population of the state and that equals democracy...

they just aren't and that's the problem

They are close but not legitimate

Thus someone in Wyoming has four times the Democratic power that someone in California does and that just "aint right"

Electoral college win = Fake president trumpís

(Because the system is SUPPOSED to be democratic...but its not)

Its a hustle so people are fooled into believing they are participants in the democratic process

Rigged fake election process=fake president
^^^^^ People can debate what effect it has/will have, but one thing you didnít account for is that illegals arenít excluded from the Census, but they canít vote.

I was born in the United States of a South African mother and an American father

I only lived in South Africa for 7 years

But I studied the situation my entire life and I always thought it was really interesting how hard Americans were trying to force DEMOCRACY on us

Yeah eight years of solid growth plus Bin Laden's head on a table was a pure living hell

Thank God we've recovered from that now and all the internet service providers can block filter and slow down our content thanks to Trump's pet Ajit Pai

The most fundamental point of all the things your misunderstanding is that the Electoral power of the states is supposed to be directly tied to their population

that's democracy

there's nothing wrong with the Electoral College there's something wrong with the electoral votes per state
