Jesus Christ. The rules of the game have been the same for over 200 years.

Win the presidency by playing to win under the rules established in the REPUBLIC form of Democracy, as set down centuries ago.

If you don't play to win by the rules (nobody told Hillary to not campaign in Wisconsin or have a good ground game in Michigan, for example), then don't be surprised if you don't win.

Just like we aren't abolishing the Senate anytime soon even though it gives small states disproportionate power, the small states aren't going to give up the EC to allow enough to change the constitution anytime soon.

So. Play to get the requisite number of electoral college votes, or continue to cry about the popular vote vs. EC vote.

If Donald Trump somehow regains his position after another crushing election defeat will Americans actually accept it again or will something more severe occur

I grew up internationally and always heard Americans preach preach preach about democracy

Although I am a legal American citizen
(USA born to an American father and a South African mother) I find it absolutely hilarious that we invade other countries (under the premise of bringing a democratic process to them) and talk so deeply and with such reverence for democracy yet do not practice it here at home with her very own presidential elections

"Gore won 500,000 more popular votes than Republican George W. Bush but narrowly lost in the electoral college after the Supreme Court of the United States ordered a halt to the manual recounting of disputed ballots in Florida"

"More Americans voted for Hillary Clinton than any other losing presidential candidate in US history.
The Democrat outpaced President-elect Donald Trump by almost 2.9 million votes, with 65,844,954 (48.2%) to his 62,979,879 (46.1%)"

PS

I only lived in South Africa for 7 years but I can remember the United States going on and on about how important it was to bring a democratic election to our country...

Today the black government is planning on seizing all white owned land and sanctioning the murders of farmers... ( just like Rhodesia)

So even though democracy has had a hideous impact on my people I find it the epitome of hypocrisy that the United States doesn't respect democracy during its presidential election

.. all the blacks on my grandfather's Farm were paid employees unlike in the USA

A democratic election is a great way to destroy a colonial power... perhaps if South Africans would have murdered all the natives and used slaves to build the country we would have had a better shot at survival

does that process sound familiar?

LMAO. TDS. It's real.

FAKE president Donald Trump (will America accept another election loser as president?-th-1-.jpeg

One thing I know for certain as a real estate investor is that if I own a home that's 30 minutes from the beach in Alabama it's worth a certain amount of money
..

that same home 30 minutes from the beach in California is worth about 7 times that amount of money why will people pay so much more to live in a liberal controlled state
There are probably a number of reasons that have nothing to do with the government, but here are three off the top of my head:

1. Lack of humidity
2. Surfing
3. Better looking women at the beach .

Too bad you don't understand the topic better. The electoral is not tied directly to one person one vote. It was never intended that way and never should have been. It is a system where by it allows a bigger influence from a large single state, but yet assures the smaller states can get a voice too. The only reason libs hate the EC all the sudden is they lost the election. The Electoral College did exactly what it was designed to do. It stopped a few mass population centers from enforcing mob rule.

The system is actually quite brilliant. Each state is allocated two votes, one for each senator. Then each state is allocated one vote per member they have in the House of Representatives. This system allows more votes for higher populated states and still allows smaller states of common interest to use their votes to protect their interest.

If you want the USA to go under, do away with the electoral system. Mob rule by the tax supported will destroy the nation. Politicians will promise handout after handout to buy the votes of the poor and the ignorant. Those are often not the same thing. A system where the power lies with those who can promise the have not's free stuff at the expense of the have's will collapse. It is a matter of history to see that not one successful economy has spawned from socialism. The few like China that have seen some success short term all did it by selling their goods to capitalist nations like the USA.

But I studied the situation my entire life and I always thought it was really interesting how hard Americans were trying to force DEMOCRACY on us

So where do you live now? If the USA, why did you choose it over SA? It seems there must be something that appealed to you about the USA if you had a choice, but decided to live here instead of there? This is a serious question, not a troll. I am curious what factors determined your choice of where to live.

WRONG. A huge area of red quite overwhelmingly dominated the results of the 2016 election.
