One of the hottest periods on earth was during the Jurassic period, before humans. We have no idea the ramifications of how climate change is going to impact us as a species or any other species on earth. What we do know is animals and plants are dying at astonishing rates. We're all connected, and once the lowest of the lowest species at the bottom of the food chain is gone, we will be impacted and I believe are now being impacted. I know people like to think humans are the greatest and best thing this earth has ever seen and that we as a species are impenetrable. But we're animals in the end, and don't stand any better chance of survival than any other animal. Sure, there will be some survivors here and there. Just glad I won't be around to see it.
Climate change is already affecting countries around the world. It is one of the biggest reasons there is such a global refugee crisis.
We can scream economy and jobs all we want. But as climate change progresses and there are more and more massive water and food shortages, a fat lot of good the "economy and jobs" will do us.
Extinction is natural. There are very few species that haven't.

LOL, yes massive extinction is natural as it happens once every60 million years or so. It just so happening now due to human caused conditions on this planet. Nothing natural about that.
And your solution please. Include details. Not just a vague "well, we need to cut back on fossil fuel consumption".
I have no solution. I think we are beyond solutions. But I do see Trump's policies and people's consumption habits speeding up the process. Anything that is done is going to be too little too late, IMO.
We are talking about warm water killing salmon....As a retired salmon fisherman I know a bit about this subject...Salmon are cold blooded so their bodies are always the same temperature as the water they are in....Optimum temperature for sockeye is 10C to 15C....The temperature of the Copper River is 29.5 degrees C today.

Don't worry- CO2 induced AGW is a hoax, so there is no problem.
As I pointed out in another thread, if there was actual warming, there would be a corresponding increase in mean barometric pressure- the opposite is true.
Thus all the "revised" (faked) temp measurements are exposed, as they forgot to fake the barometric pressure readings as well.
Addtionally, if there was actually this increase in temp (which there is not), there would be an increase in the volume of the oceans and lakes (which has not occurred). We should have seen a 6ft rise in ocean levels with this supposed increase in temps. However, this has not happened. This rise, of course, is independent of any thawing of ice on land and is simply from an expansion of water by that presumed temp increase.
AGW defies the laws of physics and its flaws can be easily exposed by a cursory examination of those laws, which have not been suspended on earth.
