Patently and demonstrably false.

The only party that has gone off the deep end is the Democrat Party. All any objective observer needs to do is compare the party platforms from say 1980 to 2019. The Democrats have gone absolutely insane and the GOP platform has remained essentially the same.

The GOP hated Russia in 1980. Now Russia is loved by the GOP, despite it still being a militaristic dictatorship and the biggest threat to America.

This makes me laugh.

Hillary hit the big "Reset" button with Russia when she was Secretary of State.

BO mockingly told Mitt Romney, who had stated that Russia was our biggest geopolitical threat during the 2012 Presidential debates, "the 1980s, they're now calling to ask for their foreign policy back because, you know, the Cold War's been over for 20 years."

The Democrats loved Russia until they thought they could pin Russian Collusion on Mr Trump.

sure the economic system has changed since then, but if patriotism is about national power, then it must count at some level.
I don't get the sense that Truman was a patriot. I feel like Truman was kind of an internationalist, or a political-pragmatist.

Teddy Roosevelt was the embodiment of an American patriot. Everything in his life, both before and after he was president could attest to that.

Truman may have helped America by supporting those policies, but I don't think he loved America, and it is doubtful that any of those things were even his idea. He was more like a public-functionary, a bureaucrat.

I don't feel like Woodrow Wilson loved America either, he was basically an internationalist. The same goes for people like LBJ, George H.W. Bush, and FDR.

There were a lot of statesman who didn't necessarily love America, people like Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton. I'm not sure Richard Nixon even had the capacity to love anything. He was just a big brain. And Bill Clinton just feels like an opportunist.

I'll admit that the left in the 80's was too soft on the former Soviet Union. But you are smoking crack if you think there was a love affair between Obama/Clinton and Putin.

The spat between Clinton and Putin was widely reported back in 2011.

https://www.nytimes.com/2011/12/09/w...-protests.html

When mass protests against Russian President Vladimir Putin erupted in Moscow in December 2011, Putin made clear who he thought was really behind them: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

With the protesters accusing Putin of having rigged recent elections, the Russian leader pointed an angry finger at Clinton, who had issued a statement sharply critical of the voting results. “She said they were dishonest and unfair,” Putin fumed in public remarks, saying that Clinton gave “a signal” to demonstrators working “with the support of the U.S. State Department” to undermine his power. “We need to safeguard ourselves from this interference in our internal affairs,” Putin declared.

Putin is a thug.

That is simply not true, but you are entitled to your own delusions.

But it is demonstrably true just going by JFK's positions:

1)then: JFK a NRA life member who owned a personal AR-15. now: Democrats line up against this.
2)then: JFK a staunch anti-commie who tried to invade Castro's Cuba. now, Democrats run as socialists.
3)then: JFK an advocate of tax cuts and supply-side. now: Dems propose 'wealth taxes, oppose cuts, and deride 'supply side' as 'trickle down.'

These are not delusions, it's called hard, cold "history."

Any Democrat who said this today would be politely requested to leave the platform.

Ah you stole the words right out of my mouth LOL.

Default JFK Would Definitely Be A Republican In 2019

Jack Kennedy would not be a Democrat by today's DNC definition. He would denounce that party once he sees all the atrocities going on with it, and he would not react well to any of them.

oh goody another thread where righties get to proclaim what lefties believe, and as always, they couldn't be more wrong.

We all know which side is the one that pretends to love America, but they actually despise the majority of Americans. But their hate filled rhetoric makes the feeling mutual.
