You know, (as a reminder) I just spent a good half hour reading orthodox sources on homosexuality and I can't say that they're very pro gay. No doubt exceptions can be found, but I'm not seeing any pro-gay philosophy. At least no one is getting thrown off of a building.

Honestly, it's hard to misconstrue "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination." as referring to prostitution. I can see where Hadrian might have viewed Jews as sticks in the mud.

Because "our" Muslims aren't tossing gays off buildings. If it doesn't happen here it doesn't really happen I guess.

Because English did not exist and those weren’t the words used?

The context was temples to Molech which had shrine prostitution.

You are citing old testament not new. Christians are very much about the new testament as Christ showed the way. Many things on the old testament that can be construed as sins are now considered by Christians as advice on living a healthy happy life and not sins.

I guess The View didn't mention what actually is occurring in the ME to gays.

You might want to inform yourself just a tad.
Why do you think I’m denying that happens?

Are you aware Christians are doing the same thing in Uganda at the prompting of Christians here?

Make sure you pay special attention to:

Mr Lively said that when he made recommendations to water down Mr Bahati’s draft, they were ignored. “I’m very glad they dropped the death penalty, which was beyond the pale,” he said. “I have mixed feelings about the remaining provisions… Simple homosexuality should not be punished with jail terms.”

Yes, that was my point, which I probably didn't say clearly. Pretty much most religions are anti-homosexual, and many followers of those religions follow that belief system. But we notice Christians here in America more because they are more apt to act on those beliefs. I think you're right in that it's mainly the activist Christian churches (Southern Baptist, any number of evangelical churches) that promote actions in furtherance of anti-homosexual (and anti-other things) beliefs.

How odd the OP and some responses are for blaming the left for noticing and remembering the actions of anti-homosexual Christian people. Heck, those Christian people purposely did things to get in the news, in the first place. That was their objective, IMO.

Read Lively’s own words comparing homosexuals to serial killers, pedophiles, animals, etc. Said they were responsible for the holocaust, Rwandan genocide, and all sorts of nonsense. He’s surprised they come back with a death penalty/life in prison after all that? That’s laughable.

Any LGBTQ activist who doesn't see Muslims as public enemy number one is a poor activist indeed. Poor because they either only care about LGBTQ people near them, because they are ignorant of the threat, or because they are making a deal with the devil for political expediency.
