So, Trump's policies are biting the average Joe in the ass, so he wants the Fed to come in and rescue him from himself. How convenient.

Quantitative easing is a crisis-era money-printing program.

This means Trump just admitted to an upcoming economic crisis.

He gave away trillions to billionaires and companies via tax cuts, yet the economic crisis is on the horizon. His tariff war is a failure.

Everything Trump touhes is a failure. In his private life, usually this ended in a settled lawsuit or bankruptcy. Now he's causing the US economy to fail. He can't simply fix it with a lawsuit.

Republican presidents over the past few decades always put the country into a recession. Then it takes a Democratic president to fix the economy.

If the economy were strong, we wouldn't need a rate cut. Thus, since Trump is asking for a rate cut indicates how weak the economy really is. Though of course Trump is too stupid to realize that.

If we keep lowering interest rates, we will have one less tool to use when an actual recession does happen!

Thank's Trump! He really wants to get reelected before the next recession happens, but after that he doesn't care if it screws over the country. It's always about him in the end.

Trump knows debt. Next term the liberal Trump may very well sign his signature and long lasting legacies in massive infrastructure and/or healthcare. And those will take massive new central money creation. We will have to be more creative to manage it. MMT'ers have some ideas.

Classic Trump - use debt to get your business out of trouble and then default on the debt payments. Trouble is, if the US were to default it would crash the world economy. Trump is in way over his head here and needs to shut his yap and let the adults manage the Fed.
