Cant say, I was never alive at the time. And also, those college kids can get dumped. My dad was in the military for 20yrs and went to Iraq twice. So I disagree with how the soldiers were treated. Take the figt to the people that sent them there.
It's called backlash. Nothing new for high schoolers. You harp on them so much about something... they get sick of hearing it... and they do just the opposite of what you intended for them. I think most of us have gone through that thought process. I know I have. I don't believe it is because they claim to be or want to be Nazis in the vast majority of the cases. It is their way of giving you (not you personally) the middle finger.
When I was a teen I had. Swaztica emblem think it was part of some band who knows - with leather jackets - my dad had a fit - so I kept it hidden until I got tired of it. Just my age to be independent - well to them rebellious. At that age unless being brainwashed or indoctrinated by an older party little sticks. This too shall pass.

So what? When I was in high school, I knew better than to give the Nazi salute. Those kids are wrong, period. No excuse for what they did. I don't care why they were doing it. They should know better than that.

Alive at what time? WW2 happened before Vietnam. Do you know your history? There are more Vietnam vets than WW2 vets and unlike WW2 vets who are pushing 100, they can actually kick your butt. So why are you talking to me about WW2 vets? Btw, my father was a WW2 vet.
