How is speaking truth "hitting a nerve".

Another top tip for you:. A sure sign of a failed topic, is when the OP jumps immediately to ad hominem.

Do you recall the recession or is that not a factor, why are we running record deficits in the best economy since the 1960's.

I recall Eric Cantor and Boehner wanted reciprocal spending cuts for any increased spending, the OP's questions is where are they today. They shut down the government over deficits in 2013 under Obama, now they are MIA.

The budget comes from the House, the dems control the House.
The huge budget deficit is primarily due to the GOP controlled house under Paul Ryan. You may recall the massive tax cuts they passed?

Either you think the deficit and debt are a problem or you don't. Saying some other president was worse is pure deflection.

Conservatives have abandoned conservatism.

I know it gets tiresome for you folks to hear us anarchists go on and on about no government but it's basic psychology. Think of your kids or young relatives...if you have/had either. You play a pretend game with them where you place authority in their decisions and go along with their fantasy. I use my one young nephew as an example as he likes to play Batman and Superman. At some point I have to shut the game down (exercise authority) because we can't jump off the roof and fly or do some other daring stunt.

Now the kid is 7 and he puts up a fight for a bit but I obviously don't give in cuz...well...I'd be dead.

You play pretend by having a government, with full authority, and expect them to listen to you? I mean...damn guys. That's the height of naivete. They have your money. They have a monopoly of force. You've already clearly illustrated that you accept their claim on your life as higher than your own. They have no reason or incentive to listen to you.

None.

Zero.

Zilch.

I can outsmart a 7-year-old (though it's tougher now than when he was younger) but to think I'm going to be able to win the pretend game with the beast who has all the money and force at his disposal is just absurd.

Don't play the game!!!
He does have potential.

One of us.
One of us.
One of us.

Worse than crickets. They want MORE...and they are succeeding. Remember those shows where you got to win everything you could fill a shopping cart with in one minute?

That's the Republican Way. The idea is to get it while they can and, when inventory is taken later, none of us can do anything about it.

This is a feature for them. I'll bet they support Trump cutting the payroll tax...and then they would yap about their own SS and Medicare when they start collecting.

It's a level of hypocrisy that is hard to fathom....other than.....either being unapologetically selfish....or, not doing the math.

Guess you missed this quote:

“The tax cut is spurring increased economic growth which will ultimately generate trillions of dollars of economic activity and greatly contribute to higher government revenue over time,” she said.

Trump is equaling Obama's pace, and will have racked up $10 trillion after his second term is up.

Oh, and MAGAs are leftists.

They all work for the same masters. The rest is theater to make you think a damn thing of any substance will change if one or the other gets voted in. I stay home on election day. F*ck'em.
