Liberals have been saying back in 2016 that Trump's stupid policy will slow the economy in 2-3 years, because that is how long it takes for the market to reflect the change.

Stupid policies were enacted in 2017, 2018, and 2019. Now in the Fall of 2019, we are seeing the start of a slowdown. Just as liberals predicted.

It's no accident Trump is hounding the Feds to lower interest rate, he is hoping it will delay the inevitable. Guess what, when you have to resort to lowering the rate to pump up the economy, it's not good.

Not really. But it has gained traction more so recently.

Righties seem to not know the difference between being an observer and seeing how the world works...and MAKING IT SO.

It's been clear to anyone who knows Trump that he could mess up a one-car funeral. His entire financial history is one of ruin and bad decisions. But us (logical people) knowing that doesn't make us responsible for the ruin he and his henchmen create. That's a really far out type of reasoning...on the right!

I remember with GWB....he was elected by a minority of voters and appointed by the SCOTUS....yet he had in his power a EASY way to be a total success. 9/11 brought the country together and the economy was 1/2 decent.

But he ruined everything he touched. That's not my fault (against the wars from day one, against the tax cuts, for universal health care).....and my noting that he caused so much suffering does not mean I am responsible for it.

It's reality. Every left wing political pundit and politician has a weekly chicken little panic attack about what's allegedly going to happen under the Trump administration, and every dem supporter swallows it whole. One day it's "The Russians" and the red scare and "the assault on our Democracy", the following week it's kids in cages and "internment [Nazi] camps" with gulag-like living conditions, the following week the bottom of the economy is falling but when it doesn't happen then the "experts" claim that it's "likely in 2 years or so" .

Dems keep bringing in people to talk about "inverted yield curves" and desperately trying to convince everyone that the economy is on a thread, hoping that people stop spending, investing and working; yet every other indicator (GDP/GNP, UE rate, consumer confidence/spending and the Personal Expenditures PECPI) are all point to a healthy economy.

Even Bill Maher was honest enough to admit that he wishes the economy would go into a recession just to get Trump out of office. If Dems are being honest--they LL wish this would happen and would smile with glee if it did, because nothing else has worked to get him out of office.

Understood, but I can only speak to reality, and some Trump supporters dont fit in that description. But the same could be said for some Obama supporters too, its not unique to one party in this blame/credit game.

Trump's tariffs have put thousands of American farmers out of business with many taking their own lives. No matter if or when these tariffs end China has now found new suppliers and they are not coming back to the US. Russia is doing exceeding well with Trump's tariffs with huge sums of income for supplying China and they plan to expand that trade. Trump did take care of his bestie Vladimir.

Trump is like a sidewalk hawker selling watches on the streets of NYC as he tries to push his hotels. Is this anyway for the president of the US to act?
Cheery picked stats are always amusing, but this one is especially funny.

Retail is shutting down. It is going away. It has nothing whatsoever to do with Trump. Even when Opra is president, retail will continue to shut down. IF you want to blame someone blame Amazon, but at this point if Amazon disappeared tomorrow, retail is still doomed.

That is like saying, "Oh since Trump became president my shoes got dirtier and more worn out. Trump is anti-shoe. "

There are plenty of things to grouse about with Trump why try to make issue of things that have nothing to do with him?

Unemployment at 48 year lows sitting at 3.8%

The media really out of touch with this country.

I remember in 2016 this woman at work says she's dumping all the stocks in her portfolio now that Trump is president that he'll start the recession in this country. If she didn't sell and bought like I did. She would've made out huge.
The FED says no recession on the horizon but the every word uttered is based in lies Mainstream Media continue selling the recession is nigh lie...only the willingly gullible continue to believe our always lying MSM.

I was unaware Fox News was in that kind of business.
